The Dugard Story

So I was flipping through my channels last night and decided to watch the Jaycee Dugard story with my hubby. I hate stories like this because I do not understand what could possess an adult to do things that this man did to young girls. On top of that his wife was also involved! The story starts off with a little girl age 11 returning home from school when she is approached by this man looking for directions. He then stuns her with a stun gun and puts her in the back seat of his car while his wife holds her down. She gets abused repeatedly for 18 years! And even has two children by this man at the age of 14 and 18. The part that got me the most is that the man was already a registered sex offender who had been on house arrest and also had continous visits by his parole officer. Facts show that while Jaycee was living in this couples backyard, the parole office had been out to visit ~60 times and she even spoke to one of the officers, but no one noticed anything suspicous. It took two campus cops to notice something strange about the way the girls acted around Gariddo when they visited the Berkeley University. Stories like this frustrate me to the fullest. I myself don't have kids, but could only imagine what this family has gone through. Jaycee is now a 31 year old woman, but in some ways she is still a child. Her story was so moving because although she has been through so much she has such a positive outlook on everything. For the Gariddo couple...well I hope they rot in hell together! Because as I said before, and will always say..."we don't do nonsense round herre"
